Dear madam and sir,
My interest in business dates back to my years at international ECO College of Insurance of Allame Tabatabaee University in Iran, where I received a Bachelor degree of Insurance Management in July 2008.
I have studied insurance management for 4 years in the English language, which enhanced my capability of using English as a second language. Moreover, the field focuses on a full range which includes: managerial, insurance markets, laws and arbitrations, economics and financial rules; I found these topics enjoyable and enlightening. To create a solid foundation for my education, as no education is complete without experience, I became an insurance underwriter at an engineering department in a Parsian insurance company from April 2008 to the present. Working and studying during these years in a global environment, simultaneous to the worldwide economic stagnation, gave me a broad insight that how the foreign economic recession can influence other countries economy. This makes world's interrelations obvious for me in a way that businesses operating in the Midwest can service the needs of customers around the world. Therefore, most business professionals will in some way be impacted by international influences and most of the companies nowadays have to deal - voluntarily or involuntarily - with international issues; in result, these companies have to operate in different countries at the same time, with different cultures, political and economic circumstances. It taught me to always be conscious of any change in the environment, and react as soon as possible and if necessary adapt to these changes in order to survive, compete and succeed in the market. All these trends created a desire for me to become aware of this uncertain world and warned me how much limited is my knowledge in this area. Thus, I wish to pursue my studying in Europe, where most of economic fluctuations occur.
So at last but not least, those planning for a career in business must understand the intricacies of doing business with partners from other countries, whether the business is conducted from inside or outside the borders. Culture, language, political systems, geography, and socio-economic are all factors that influence a person's business. Professionals need to research not only the company they wish to go into business with but also, the culture, tradition, and business practices of those they will be working with. Therefore studying accounting, finance, marketing, information technology, law, healthcare, etc., is critical to understand the global issues. Also understanding the diverse business opportunities and knowing counterparts can be a competitive advantage. So my plan following earning my master's degree is to start working on my Ph.D. in business administration. After completion I wish moving directly into graduate work towards my PhD in international business as a professor in universities to help growing up further students, guiding them, giving insight to them in a way that they could easily pass the path toward becoming qualified businessmen. Moreover I like to Further down the road to work in the area of research and development for private industry especially in R & D where I believe I can make the greatest contribution, utilizing my theoretical background and creativity as a business professional, I believe this could keep my knowledge always update. I want to keep on my researches in this field to find answer to questions like: Why would a firm want to set up a factory abroad? How does management deal with the opportunities of internationalization? And is doing business in Iran really so very different from Germany, for example?
In conclusion, after much effort searching the internet, especially through your universities website, consulting with the Canadian embassy in Iran, and becoming familiar with the program which your university offers, and the quality of life in your country, I have become greatly interested in furthering my education at your institute. I realize your institute will assist me pursuing my dreams and guiding me toward achieving my goals of advancing my international business degree via the specialize coursework. Thus, I hope you will consider my application for candidacy in the international business administration program at __ University.
