My advice would be to avoid mentioning religion to a Brit. Most native Brits have no interest in religion. Those who do, mostly like to keep it to themselves (apart from the tribe of Jehova's Witnesses). However, I can't speak for the moslem community. Maybe they like to discuss religion.
