-Do you know I was voted to least likely succeed in high school?

-I didn't know they voted on that.

-Well it wasn't in the yearbook (Not a real voting?) if that's what you mean.

American high schools print something called a yearbook. These have a photograph of every student, teacher and administrator, as well as group photographs of clubs and sports teams and other photographs/ short pieces that will enable the student to recall presumably fond memories of the year ("McKinley High Students Help Tornado Victims," "Hornets Win Championship!" etc.) There's also plenty of room for students to get one another's autographs at the end of the year, along with scribbled messages ("I will never forget Prom Nite! Luv u 4-ever, Brandi").

The seniors, who are leaving the school, get a bigger spread than the other classes, with bigger pictures. Their class usually votes on "titles" like Best Looking, Wittiest, and "Most Likely to Succeed." The winners of these contests are also depicted in the yearbook.

Interesting traditions you have there in the US.

We don't have yearbooks in my country. Or at least in regular schools.

I'm not sure about the private ones.

Anyway, thank you, D!
