Hello everybody.

I have two questions.

1.

Even if I were booted into the street tomorrow..

Even if I am booted into the street tomorrow...........

I know the first one is subjunctive and I understand it, but is the second more probable, because of "I am" than the first one?

2.

Peter has not gone to school today, nor has he done his homework.

Do we always use inversion after "neither" or "nor"?

Thanks

1. That may be valid for some. Some simply avoid using were.

2. Yes.
