Hi, My name is Gavin and I'm a 22 years old boy from Hong Kong. I would like to improve my english both orally and in writing through meeting people around the world who has similar goal as me. In reality, I don't really like to talk. I'm more of a listener, so i guess that's not so good for learning english. However i surely would love to listen to your story. I enjoy meeting different cultures because there's so much to learn from different ethics and I don't want to be limited to my own culture. Not that i dislike my own culture but it's nice to know others too Of course, if you want to learn more about my story and Chinese, I will be very happy to tell you.

Ordinary_guy, 4 yr 99 days ago

Oh Netherland people! I've met some netherland people before and they were quite nice. is Cyber your real name? because it is very unusual. There's always room for improvement in english, right? Let's improve together. Tell me a bit about yourself.

I love being programmer. If you dont like it you cant do it. My 15 hours are going on with pc in a day. In Europe it is good job. Im in a CRM(Customer Relationship Manager) project. It is a big project.

Turkey is nice in summer(part of south). You cant see any Turkish in the summer in part of south. Istanbul(biggest city and where I live) is really crowd  but turists like it, it is a fantastic and historical city). And our food is famous Wink [;)]

I know there are so many conferance about programming in Amsterdam.. so I like it.. I would love to join them : ) but I cant now .. It is expensive for me : ) and I heard of about red light street in Amsterdam : ).. so I dont now more : )

See you Wink [;)]

Big Smile [:D]Hi! Can I join to your conversation?

My name is Federica, I come from Italy and at this moment I live in Milan. Here I'm attending a second level degree in corporate communication, but my real home is in a small city called Forlì, near Rimini and Riccione. I'm 21 years old and I like reading, travelling and meeting new people. Unlucky my English isn't too good, indeed I'd like to improve it, also because in June I'll take a Cambridge exame.. I'm afraid I never be able to pass it.......   help me please!!!!!!! Bye!

Dear Unquale,

Sounds like Istanbul is a really awesome place, i wish to see pictures of the city you live in. I'm surprised that you're only 19 yrs old and have such a decent job already; i thought you need some college training for programming? guess i was wrong. Amsterdam is famous for their red light district that's for sure. they also have marijuana cafe for your information. Smile [:)] Great place to be.

Hi Cybo,

You're a Egyptian? ewww.. (just kidding) Actually i've had some bad experience dealing with a egyptian co-worker before in england. He was a really nasty guy so i have some negative impression toward egyptian people now Sad [:(]. Hope you're nothing like him at all. Speaking of games and food, i love them very much too. I was highly addicted to computer games Warcraft 3 for a long period if you know which one i'm talking about. Finally i came to a conclusion that it'll do me no good and deleted the game once and for all. All my friends love soccer except me. I like doing some odd stuff like going to hiking, indoor rock climbing, snowboarding, badminton.. etc, mostly individual sports. :\

that's it for now. keep in touch

Hi Federica,

Of course you can join our conversation. Milan is the fashion capital of italy, isn't it? it must be very exciting to live in such an amazing city. Let's improve our english here together. May be you can share to us what the exam curriculum will be on so we can help you out. Are you going to Cambridge University after take this exam?

Hi Lovingeye,

Wow i just found out of this "quote" function which makes life a lot easier without having to refer to the person i'm talking to back and forth. Anyway, yeah, i can write freely in words too. However, when it comes to the colloquials, i have no clue on how to apply what so ever. one example is like some people will say "I'm gonna hit the sack" instead of saying "i'm going to bed." It's really difficult to grasp all aspects of english. I'll send you a email when my exams are over, which will end in like 2 weeks.

Hi Gavin!! Milan is a beautiful city, there are lots of different things to do and I like living here (I am here, with 3 other girls, since October), above all because I am "indipendent" now, that is without my parents! I'm joking I miss them but I  like freedom very much!!! Among the courses of my degree I am attending Business English. This course should prepare me to do the Cambridge exame BEC Higher, I can do it whenever I want, probably the next september or october. (here in Milan I think) It's a bit difficult for me, my English is not so good but I hope to pass it...

and what about you???

Bye! Fede

yo Gavin!

So you think if i have some bad experience with someone from Hong Kong, that i should have some negative impression toward all people from Hong Kong including you also? That wont be fair don't ya think!? Anyway don't worry i'm totally not like him. Besides i told ya in my last letter that there are some nice and bad people from every country so i guess he was one of the bad ones!! Yah i indeed know Warcraft 3 if i'm not mistaken it was THE game in holland. Almost everyone i know played it but unfortunately i didn't play it. You see i play computer games but not as much as i play the PS2. One of my favorites games is the suikoden series it's very nice game it's about friendship, love and betrayal really touchy story. And about food i really like chinese food. I have one chinese friend, so we go to eat chinese food once or twice a month. it's hard for me to read what's written in the menu so i let him do the orders Stick out tongue [:P].

Everyone has his or her own interests right! Why odd i think it's normal like the other sports. I like hiking sometimes and badminton. There was once a badminton tournament 2 againt 2 so i joined with my friend from Vietnam and guess what we became 1 place. This is really funny... we thought we'll get medailles or something like that but instead of medailles you know what was the price A COOKIE...!!!Angry [:@] man i was very angry that day hahahaha but it was funny you should have seen the expressions on our face. About snowboarding if i'm not mistaken i'm going with my friends snowbording this monday but you see i've never participated in snowboarding so it'd be great if you can give me some tips about how to snowboard. I don't want to come back home with broken bonesWink [;)]. Oops srry i talked too muchStick out tongue [:P]. Well i guess that's that then, latrz!!!
