COULD you please answer the following questions:

1 This soft drink bottle label; reads “Lipton Ice Tea”. Should it not be read “Lipton Iced Tea”?

If you are talking about Lipton's iced tea, yes, but what is on the label is the registered name of the product to ensure it is differentiated from other iced teas.

"Iced tea" is correct.  However, most people say 'ice tea', so that is how it has come to be written in most cases.  I believe that the reason for that is the pronunciation of the words 'iced' and 'tea', the 'd' and the 't' differing only in being voiced and non-voiced.  The linguistice term for this is "dissimilation", I believe.

Oops!  Smile [:)]  There is no voiced sound in "iced" because the "ed" is pronounced as a "t".  So it's the juxtaposition of two phonetic "t"s (not a "d" and a "t") that becomes one "t" in "iced tea" ~ "ice tea".

Oops, indeed.  Thanks for catching it......it's the same phenomenon.
