instruction : write short report for a university lecturer describing the changes in water supply and sanitation in urban areas between 1980 and 1990. to what extent did the UN achieve its aims ?

my writing:

The tables shows the changes in water supply and sanitation in urban and rural areas between 1980 and 1990. In general water supply and sanitation both in urban area and rural had the same trends.

it was shown by the fact that percentage of water supply in urban area in 1980 was lower than water supply percentage in 1990. Furthermore, the water supply in urban area achieved 70% which was 10% lower than in 1990. The same like water supply percentage, the sanitation percentage of urban area in 1980 was approximately 60% which was slightly lower than in 1990 which achieved level 62%. This trends was also occur in water supply and sanitation in rural area. As can be seen, water supply percentage in rural area in 1980 dramatically lower than in 1990 which was stayed in level 25%. In the other hand, the sanitation percentage in rural area achieved level 10% which was just 5% lower than in 1990.

For summarize, the trends of water supply and sanitation decrease from year to year. By using the water appropriately both in rural and urban area, can avoid the earth from water crisis.
