I think I will agree with you this point only if it's related to Indo-European family or the other languages which have letters, but surely not in chinese:-))

Hi Lindastar!  Umm, I think my signature is kinda misleading... I am not Italian. I am a true blue Filipino.  I just use the Italian term  Ciao because I simply just got used to it, and it's a very common greeting in our country.
