In/for medical purposes

Oil has been known in our country since the sixteenth century, when it was used for lubrication and for medical purposes. The beginnings of research and production of oil were in Međimurje (Selnica) and near Kutina (Mikleuška). After World War II the production and research increased, especially in Pannonian pool. Intensive research is being carried out in the Adriatic sea bed, on the islands of Jabuka, Palagruža and Mljet. South from *** a gas has been found in amounts sufficient for exploitation.
