In the English vocabulary, there are many words that put emphasis on gender. But these words are slowly being taken away.

Is it correct to say "In the English vocabulary" or "In English vocabulary" and why? Thanks.

"In the English vocabulary"

is the correct version, as you need to speak about a specific vocabulary, the English one.

The other one is a reduction, acceptable only in titles and such.
