insert symbol button

Hi,

I've just noticed that "Insert symbol" button, on the toolbar of the editor, which allows to insert characters like Ì, β, ç, ã, and so on.
I thought it might be more useful if it allowed to insert phonetic symbols.
What do you think? Would it be possible? (Maybe I'd finally learn how to use them Stick out tongue)

Hehe I got it, Smile  but how did you write that?
Did you copy the characters from somewhere and pasted them here? Or did you use something like ASCII codes? Or ... ?

I always need to use something like this: http://weston.ruter.net/projects/ipa-chart/view/keyboard/
Or copy and paste.
