Hi everybody. I'd like to know if anybody know how to learn english pronunciation by international phonetic alphabet. The thing is that I have an exam and I'll be asked to write any possible word with phonetic symbols.

I thank u in advance if u can help me.

I believe that reading a good dictionary for about 15 minutes can do the job for you.

Thanks for your reply but I'd like to know all the symbols used in the phonetic trascription of english words in order write them bymyself, without the dictionary. For exemple: the word BY is written:    /bai/

Just look for similar words and then you'll realise what the symbols stand for
