You are amazing, thanks! lp rok
Dear Mr Firestone,
I was very excited when I heard from my colleagues in Good Year that there is a possibility for an internship in one of your divisions in the USA. My wish would be to obtain a position of a project manager within marketing department, for which I believe to have all the necessary skills and experience.
In April 2004, I graduated in Political Sciences (Defence Studies) and afterwards, aiming to improve economical knowledge and realizing a long-term career goal of managing marketing strategies, I enrolled to Masters of Science »Management and Organization«.
During my studies at university I acquired some broadly applicable working experiences. As you will see from the enclosed CV, my current position is a project manager at local tourist company (Koblar and co, ltd), where I have started managing XXL Sports, an association for arranging and executing different sport activities, such as rafting, canyoning, paintball ect. My assignments during the peak season are organizing all day-to-day activities, managing small groups of employees and in the low season on the other hand, I am organizing a variety of marketing actions: brochures, posters and T-shirts. The other valuable experience, comes from working at the Government Public Relations and Media Office, where I worked on a project called NATOphone -a project of informing the general public about Slovenia joining the North-Atlantic Alliance.
Through these two experience I have developed the skills of working with people, persuading and negotiating with them. It is such work that combines those skills where I show my best results. In addition to that I am also a good team-player, possessing great organizational and communicational skills and have a strong background of dealing with several project simultaneously.
Oversea internship would mean a fantastic start of my career that can substantially broaden my perspective and give me invaluable, life-long experience. Since I would like to experience working in a positive, healthily-competing environment, which offer me wide opportunities for my personal development, the USA, as the most advanced country in the marketing field, presents my first and by far most favoured choice.
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours Truly,
Rok Manfreda
