Hi, which sentence is correct?

 

"Here, Staw argues that an individual is more likely to reinvest in a failing situation if he made the original investment decision."

 

or

 

"Here, Staw argues that an individual is more likely to reinvest in a failing situation if it was he that made the original investment decision."
