note: living can be a noun
1. living thing/live thing
2. my life/my living
3. my living style/my life style(lifestyle)

living = the activity of living, or anything that we physically do

life = the span of time through which we live.

1. living thing
2. my life
3. my lifestyle

That's a good summary, Fluffy. One addition:

2. my living = my type of work/job: 'I make my living driving a taxi'.

question: living thing=something that lives? and that is because the word living is not used as a noun but a verb progressive used as an adjective, but what's the real difference between live thing and living thing?

To me 'a living thing' would be as opposed to a non-sentient thing: a cockroach is a living thing, but a cloakroom is not.

Meanwhile, 'a live thing' might work better in contrast to a dead one: 'don't worry-- that's a dead cockroach, not a live one'.
