Metaphysics and Physics are conflictual, especially now, because the philosopher in question asserts that all physics laws are based on illusions and not real phenomena.

Hi,
The grammar is acceptable.

I don't know why the writer says 'especially now'.

Metaphysics and Physics are conflictual, especially in this case, because the philosopher we were talking about before asserts that all physics laws are based on illusions and not real phenomena.

This should make things clearer.

The problem here is that metaphysics and physics are treated as concrete things and not only that but then we goes to refer to metaphysics and physics again but not the same as the first ones.
