Hi,

Please tell me if the definite article is absent because of the similar reason as to example sentence 2.

Check out the Web's most popular costumn store.

Check out Korea's most famous "leisure-stroll" spot

Can I be able to use the type of hyphenatd (linked) phrase in quotation marks, which does not represent a normal adjectival phrase?

I see no reason why the quotation marks are needed for ( leisure-stroll ). When 2 nouns come together the front will automatically function as an adjective. So it is not necessary an adjective itself.

Thank you, whl626.

My dilemma lies in the fact that sometimes we are using a compound word as an adjective and that compound word looks to be clumsily put together (lack of a better expression) or give us a sense of being awkward; that is why I decided to put them in the quotation marks. Do you favor this treatment? You wouldn't normally see 'leisure-stroll' in an adjective spot or would you, but I had to use and that is why I resorted to quotation marks.
