Hello.

http://www.ids-india.com/personnel.asp
This website says, "Date of starting work."

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/4626200.stm
This website says, "There are also allegations of other frauds involving faking the date of starting work to claim back dated payouts."

Hi,

Where I live, in a resume you simply write something like this.

1997 to 2005  Systems Analyst, IBM

So, are you sure that you need to write the kind of words that you are asking about?

Best wishes, Clive

I was going to say the same thing as Clive. If you list a job and list dates after it, it's pretty clear what that means. If you feel you must have a lable, can't you simply say "Start date"?
