Amont these three job titles ; reporter, journalist and editor, which one is higher position? 
How are they different by meaning?

The reporter is the person who finds out the facts and writes the story.

The coyp editor is the person who edits the story for style, etc.

Neither is "higher" than the other.

A managing editor is in charge. That person is higher.

All of them are in the field of "journalism" though usually "journalist" is a synonym for "reporter."
