Hi,
I know that lately is used with the present perfect, can it also be used with other verbs like the present simple or the present coninuous? Examples:

I'm so busy lately!
You seem so tired lately!
Why are you being so mean lately?
...

I thought it was only used with the persent perfect, but today, in an animated cartoon, I heard: "Chris, what's going on with you lately?"

Thanks.

If you don't have a sense of humor already, it's about time you buy one.

Hi,

These sound acceptable to me. Think of lately as 'in recent times including now'.

Best wishes, Clive

I really didn't know that. This should mean that the more I watch animated cartoons, the more I learn. Stick out tongue [:P]

Thank you.
