Hi guys,

The 'banner' that greets learners who come here for help reads 'Learn English for free'.

Am I the only person who'd prefer it to say 'Learn English free'?

Best wishes,

Nope. Please count me in. Because it not only means learn engilsh without any charge, it also tell us to post any questions here freely. hehe. Don't laugh at me, if I say something wrong.

Anyway, I really hope I can do something for the forums. You see I joined here in Oct. 20, 2004, and have received many many helps from you teachers. But I haven't do anything for boards. Unfortunately, computer is one of my blind spots, I don't know how to get links to forums under the condition that I don't have any own website or forum. Can you come up with any other ways to help get more links? Thank you.

Perhaps you can write to Chinese newspapers and Chinese websites and spread the word, so they can link to us themselves?

julielai,

How did you know that jeff_999 is Chinese? Is it because of "have do"?

The same reason I know you live in HK -- your IP address.

Living in HK and having been born still doesn't make a person Chinese, or does it, julielai?

Should read:-

"Living in HK and having been born there still doesn't make a person Chinese, or does it, julielai? "

Is this relevant to the discussion?  I try my best not to stray from the discussion.

Jeff asked a question; I offered a suggestion.  It's up to Jeff to take up on it.  If my suggestion is nowhere near the mark, Jeff will either let me know or ignore my suggestion altogether.
