We are writing to inform you about a ceremony to commemorate (possibly use 'mark' rather tan commemorate?) the dropping of atom bombs on Japan during the Second World War.  This will be held in Brescia, Italy on 9th August at 5pm.

The ceremony will be held in Santa Giulia, where there is a tree (that survived the bombing of?) Nagasaki by a delegation of Comuni di Bescia.  Presentations will be made by Dr Shinji Nishiyama, the Japanese consul, and Mr Tanaka Shozo, a Hiroshima survivor now living near Brescia.
