Dear Madam or Sir,

My name is ***, I am a nineteen years old undergraduate student in Economics at the University of ***. I am writing this letter to apply for the summer exchange program with the University of ***.

The University of  *** enjoys a high reputation all over the world in many fields and especially in Economics.  I am really interested in learning more about this neoliberal approach to Economics.

This program also offers a unique opportunity to discover a completely different culture and mentality. The United States of America play an central role in today in international politics and I believe that this experience will allow me to have a more accurate vision of the facts that underlie the relations between the United States of America and the rest of the world.

I believe that my profile will be perfectly suited to this summer exchange program. I am fluent in three languages: Arabic, French, and English (I started studying English at the age of six).

 I have lived for six years in Belgium and now I am studying Economics in ***. Traveling and meeting people from different origins and backgrounds have taught me to be open minded. It has also increased my interest in other cultures and makes it easier to adapt to different places and situations.

I truly have a passion for Economics. My father is an economist and works for the *** Ministry of Finance. He transmitted to me his passion for this science. I was taught at an early age to develop an interest in political and economical matters and this has developed into a real passion.

These reasons are why I think that these five weeks spent at the University of  *** will be a great asset in this world where the economy has become global.
