Hi again,
Dear Kate,
As you know, 20 doctors from your society are needed for my REP's study. I am a bit concerned about the recruitment of the doctors. Do you think it is easier to get general practitioners to participate than specialists? If it is hard to persuade them to get involved with this study, do you think it would be all right if I reduced the number of doctors and required thenm to complete more questionnaires?
Regards
Can you tell me why I need to use "concerned" (not concern ), "reduced" (not reduce) and "required" (not require)?
'Concerned', because that's the adjective form of the word. eg 'a concerned person', not 'a concern person'. 'I am sick'. 'I am concerned'.
'Reduced/required'. With a conditional statement that is 'unreal' or not very definite, use 'would' in the main clause and past tense in the 'if' clause.
eg I would marry Mary if I loved her.
eg It would be all right if I reduced the number of doctors.
Best wishes, Clive
