Hi. I am writing a letter to the dean to request the release of an academic probation hold. I went to school for 2 years and didn't take it seriously so consequently my grades suffered. I left school to serve my time in the military and got called over seas. I'm back and discharged from the army now and want to go back to school. Due to my lack of judgement when I was younger, there is a hold on my academic record and in order to be reinstated I need to write a letter to the dean requesting another shot at school. If anyone could help me with this I would really appreciate it! I don't really know what to say or how to say it in a formal letter. Someone please help me!
