Hello, friends!

I wonder if I can catch a bug (virus) talking in the Chat. I have heard I can. Is it true? Thinking [*-)] Please, explain me. I am not an expert in such matters...

In the software world, a "bug" doesn't mean "a virus" rather it means an error in the software. Please let me know if you need further details.

Hello, Rishonly,

Thanks for your reply. Then that's my mistake I have used "a bug" and "a virus" as synonyms; I apologize. Thank you for making it clear. Yes, I need futher details. Now I can ask rightly: is it possible to catch a virus in the Chats?

No need to apologize, Rusalana.Smile [:)] The answer is "sometimes yes" and "sometimes no".  Smile [:)] The subject is a bit technical. The "Online Chatting" is not 100% free from virus. In general, a text-based chatting  wouldn't bring any virus. On the other hand, if the chat message has any URLs ,clickable objects, or attachments  and if you click on one of  those items, there are chances that a virus might infect your computer.  So, if you see any such things--URLs..etc--it is an indicator that they might install virus in your computer.
