No, there are hundreds of ways that your machine can get infected by virus. I was explaining the possibilities of getting a virus through a "chating software".  When your machine is connected to Internet, they are several techniques used by hackers to infect your system.

I guess I have always typed your name as "Rusalana" instead of "Ruslana".. Besides, in the given context, "catch" cannot be used to mean "to be infected". Regarding Internet, yes, Internet has advantages as well as disadvantages. We tend to reap the benefits of Internet while hundreds and thousands of people are working studiously to utilize the disadvantages of Internet.

Oh, that's my mistake again! I have used "to catch a virus" because I know the idiom "to catch a disease", and I thought that if I replaced "disease" by "virus", the sense would not change. But, as I see, I was wrong. Thanks again that you have made it clear.
