The back cushion of my car has come out from its fasteners that function like snaps. What should I say to tell a person to put it back in?

Push it down into the snaps?

Thanks.

Sorry, but I don't know what snaps are. Are they like clips?

Push the cushion down until it clicks (into place)??

What do British call these http://www.seattlefabrics.com/Marine%20Grade%20Snaps.jpg?

I don't think cars use snaps. I can't find  the right word. Let me try to describe how they look like.

Like snaps, they are male and female components. When they are connected, they snap or click. However, as far as I know snaps are round which is not what the fasteners look like. The male component is a rectangular hole with some hooks along its lenghts. The female is just the opposite so when it's poperly insterted, they will click. Sorry for the poor description.

I would call these fasteners.

As you said in your description there is a clicking sound, I see no reason not to use the sentence I suggested in my first reply.

Push the cushion down until it clicks (into place).

Push the cushion down so/until it locks into place.
