What does "their opportunities" in the last sentence mean in the following passage?

Of course, not every woman has great abilities, or is highly successful, but more and more women are using their abilities in business and universities. They don't have to worry aobut losing their opportunites.

Thanks in advance.

I think the writer means;
missing (out on) opportunities
that is, not being able to take advantage of opportunities
