Hi!
"He can't die! The world will suffer in GREAT LOST without Tom's humble existence"

my question is whether people would see 'great lost' as 'lost in control'/'lost in direction/balance' or simply 'lost' as losing a man, like the use of 'lose' in 'losing a man during war'?

And if 'great lost' in my sentence isn't appropriate, what could be a better replacement. Thanks in advance. - Terr
