I am studying abroad, and sometimes I feel lonely without my parents around me. However, I feel better after I made friends with local students when I joined the English corner in school. They are really friendly and easygoing. We often play games and have meals together. I don't feel lonely now as I have friends like them. I think it is a good way to make you enjoy( at lease not shocked) in the different culture.  Besides, I can practise my spoken English through chatting with them.

Thus, if you are a foreigner in the country you live now like me, why not make friends with the friendly people around you. They are ready to accept you as they are also interested in foreigners. Just go ahead.
