Can we use apostrophe this way:


1. This is Malaysia's flag.

2. These are China's people.

3. Jefferson Elementary's school hall.

2. These are China's people. Possible if "these" is used to refer to all of the people in China, or if "these" refers to a few people who represent/symbolize all of the people in China.

"hall" is a large room for assembly, I never realised it's not commonly used.


Ok, bad example, what about "Jefferson Elementary's office"?
