Two possible interpretations
We should plan a way of continuing without having to do 'this' (whatever it is) at the moment (manage around as in strategically plan how to get around doing something).
Or,
We need to do 'this' now so let's plan, taking 'this' into account.

The name says it all.
Manage around?
Around
Around the horn
'Around the year'?
Hang around
Fool around
Coach around
Move around...?
Boshing around (BrE)
Hell around
What goes around comes around
Whipped around

Hello V. and NtB
I find that 'manage around' has a slightly sly, almost ironic overtone: as if it's
always enclosed in inverted commas.
'Manage around needing to do this' for me means 'avoid doing this in a
discreet way so no one notices...'.
Is that your experience?

That was my first thought too, hence my first option, but then without knowing the context I also thought that it could possibly be a straight intent to work around 'it'.

Thanks to both, MrP's interpretation and 1st thought of nona fit nicely in the context (that sometimes is hard to fully reflect in the posts...)

...anyway, it's interesting and a signal to be careful in English as I understand the 2nd thought of nona would be, for the same sentence, just the opposite!!
