Hi,

Can I say,

(A) We went to the jewellery shop to buy some jewellery for my cousin for her marriage

     as her presents.

It's very ugly and awkward English to have so many phrases following after one another like this. I suggest this.

We went to the jewellery shop to buy some for my cousin as a wedding present.

Best wishes, Clive

Le Quang Trung I love English very much, but I'm not proficient. Please help me to correct the grammar of the sentences above. Thank you very much!

Hi,

We go to the jewellery shop to buy some jewellery for ..............

Now you are not talking about the past.

Try to avoid repeating words, eg 'jewellery'.

Best wishes, Clive
