Hi Guys,

I've had a quick search of the forum, but searching for "me" or "i" gives more than a few results Wink [;)]

The sentence in question is:

"If you have any questions at all, please email John and me"
"If you have any questions at all, please email John and I"

Which one is correct?   Getting some conflicting information.  Oxford Dictionary says "and me", Microsoft Word says "and I".

Leaning towards both are correct, yet "and I" is more formal.

Appreciate any responses!

John and me.

The easiest way to solve these things is to take the other person out. Whatever is correct with just me/I is correct when you put the other person back in.

Please email I - incorrect

Please email me - correct.

Just a side note: Don't depend on Google - people write with all sorts of errors, but Google doesn't differentiate between good writing and bad writing when it gives you a result, AND don't depend on Word's grammar checker. It might help you find a couple errors, but you cannot make it your final judge on grammatical matters. (Nona once referred to its "daft suggestions" and I quite agree, but it sounds better when she says it.)

I think we Americans use this word so much less than the Brits because it sounds so much better the way they say it!

(Further from "deft", perhaps.)
