Hi,

I would like to know what are the contexts that "See you later " can be used.  And also do we use this expression to mean a final goodbye ?

thanks

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

I would like to know what are the contexts that "See you later " can be used.  It's casual and informal. It's used in situations where you will see the other person again soon.

And also do we use this expression to mean a final goodbye ?  No. I wouldn't say to you '(I'll) see you later' if I will never see you again.
