Slang - dictionary - probably the most popular English slang resource on the WWW.

That's a good resource. It doesn't seem to make the point (though I haven't read the whole entry in detail) that people who -b itch- have to be women or gay, or heterosexuals behaving like a stereotypical woman or gay (e.g. commenting on dress-sense).

[I'm trying very hard not to be sexiest here - but the use of this verb is fraught with sexual stereotypes]

In AmE, at least, it has evolved so that any type complaining or "bellyachin" (by men or women) in general is referred to as "bitching". It's not something exclusively done have done by females or gays.
"Michael Jordan earns over $20 million per year, and yet he starts bitching and moaning when the NBA won't give players a raise."
"If you hate your job that much, stop bitching about it and do something! Get a new one!"

Could anyone explain the meaning of the above "Italics sentences"?

the italics are saying that anyone that complains a lot can be said to be bitching. Doesn't matter if it's a guy or girl.
