This means the Physician is a D.O, which is a Physician of Osteopath medicine, they go through the same trainig as an M.D. howevr know more about the bones and learn more to feel with the hands and provide treatment as adequatley as any M.D. they just attend another type of school than an M.D. and I have learned that the DO's are good Physicians as I had a D.O. as a Physician as well.
