Hi,
How about a doctor and a nurse? (M.D. and R.N.)

Or are you looking for something more specialized in some way?

Hi,
First, have you searched through this thread? I know it explains D.O., and perhaps the other things as well.

Best wishes, Clive

Every day brings new medical research and discoveries, and with them an expanding range of terms and their abbreviations. Medical professionals who rely on the most accurate and up-to-date terminology must have a clear, concise reference for abbreviations, their meanings, and appropriate usage at hand.

It stands for Doctor of Osteopathy.  The doctor is an Osteopathic doctor rather than an MD.

Come on, folks, read the thread before you ask the question. Then, if the answer is not there, go ahead and ask.

Thank you, Clive

“Greetings:

First time user.

Is there a listing/web site/reference available of the various subject abbreviations that I could go to for ensuring that I am utilizing the OFFICIAL and CORRECT abbreviation of a person's title?

I am interested in a listing similar to this:

MD
PhD
PA

etc.

Any suggestions (within social bounds) would be appreciated.

Thank you.”
