Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O. or DO) is an academic degree offered in the United States. It is a graduate-levelfirst professional degreefor physicians and surgeons, requiring four years to complete. Holders of the D.O. degree are known as osteopathic medical physicians. D.O.s are trained much in the same way as M.D.s, with the addition ofosteopathic manipulative medicine techniques. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_of_Osteopathic_Medicine)

I wonder why some people ask the same question again and again without taking some time to read the answers already given in this thread. Sad

Great information Melodie but was wondering what the abbreviation "NO" stands for.  I'm in pharmaceutical sales and saw this after a doctor's name who is an Internal Medicine physician specializing in cardiology.

Thanks!

Andy

Hi Andy,
Hmmm, Doctor No. Let me think. Wasn't he one of the villains James Bond dealt with? (:D) Big Smile
