Ok Bird,

You want my honest opinion, right? It sounded stiff and unnatural for a wedding invitation. No offense. Now, I am sort of confused. Is the ceremony taken placed at a different location than the party?

Are the guests to meet the newly-wed at Portus? Or they leave for Portus with the newly-wed?  What did you mean " You will be of great help to us if you reach a day before the marriage day?"

I therefore invite you to join us on this happy day. You will be of great help to us if you reach a day before the marriage day. I hope you will accept my invitation and will come to join us.
                   With best wishes.

Can I suggest you respond to those posts in THOSE threads? It's completely confusing to anyone else to see responses to one thread in a different one.
