I have not been around for quite a while. Could you please tell me the difference between the followings?

1 so far
2 By far
3 Far and away

1. In the context I think you are implying it means "up until now"
An example: "So far, five students have finished the test."

2. I would have to say it means "definitly above all others, the best"
An example: The red shirt is, by far, the best out of the three.

3. I'm not quite sure what you mean by this one. I'm a native speaker and I've probably heard this once, and I'm sorry to say I don't remember the context. Sorry!
