Help with my motivation letter

And I believe Paris is the place where I can do that. "

** We do not normally put our name in a letter in this manner. This structure is reseved for legal documents, such as a will!

Is it necessary to put your age?

** "Having completed my masters degree in commerce, and obtained a diploma in fashion designing, I undertook work experience in different industries. I now seek the opportunity to study and gain international experience. As the centre of the international fashion industry, Paris would be the perfect place to gain this experience.

I obtained the Bachelor of Commerce and the Master of Commerce at Mumbai University, and have worked as insurance agent, a marketing assistant and an assistant designer cum merchandiser, and I have strong marketing and organization skills.

Fashion designing is my passion, and to open a fashion house is my dream. To fulfill my dream I require guidance, which I believe I will find in the program offered by your University.

My interest in fashion design developed after graduation, when I attended a workshop by a fashion designer. I am skilled in drawing, and this workshop gave me a focus, and opened a potential career path for me. I subsequently undertook a 1 year diploma in fashion design at the Le Mark Institute of Art (Mumbai).

I learned the fundamentals of design and I not only improved my skills but found I have a natural flair. I also learned illustration, pattern drafting, apparels, embroidery, computer aided designing and undertook some study of textiles. I learned how a design on paper is made into garment, and how many process it has to go through such as material sampling, pattern making, embroidery, accessories and trials etc.

One of my learning experience from this course is the whole process of designing a collection for our institutes graduating students fashion show, where every team of three students were to design a collection of six garments i.e.3male, 3female on a particular theme .

As part of the course, students were required to design a collection for our institute's graduating students fashion show. Teams of three students were to design a collection of six garments,3 male and 3 female, on a particular theme. My team elected to design western casuals with the theme being bright colors.

My fascination with Paris began when I was learning French at Alliance Francais de Mumbai. At Alliance I attended many workshops and seminars which introduced me to French culture, and to Paris as the fashion capital of the world, both of which I found very exciting. In addition to being the birth place of fashion, Paris has so much history and culture to explore and learn from.

I am applying for the MA in Marketing course at Mod-art for three reasons.

1. The course precisely matches my particular area of interest in marketing: namely, merchandising and international marketing, brand management.

2. The high reputation of your school for producing outstanding graduates and keeping pace with changes in the world of fashion.

3. Your close relationship with well known global fashion companies, which ensures that theoretical expertise is supported by real experience of culture-based communication and global market strategy analysis.

The combination of these factors makes your MA in Marketing course the natural choice for me at this point in my career.

I would like to study in Paris at your University because I am sure that Mod-Art would provide me with the expertise, personal interaction and intercultural experience necessary for me to achieve my professional as well as personal objectives.

I enrolled myself for one year diploma in fashion design at the Le Mark Institute of Art (Mumbai) which helped to improve the fundamentals of design. I learned illustration, pattern drafting, apparels, embroidery, computer aided designing and a part of textiles too.
              One of my learning experience from this course is the whole process of designing a collection for our institutes, where every team of three students were to design a collection of six garments i.e.3male, 3female on a particular theme( My theme being BRIGHT COLORS), where I also learned the techniques to design on paper and to make it into a garment the process it has to go through like material sampling, pattern making, embroidery, accessories and trials etc.
          My fascination with Paris started when I was learning at I was learning French at Alliance Francais de Mumbai.At Alliance I came to know the fascinating French culture and Paris being fashion capitol of the world bowled me over.Paris being the birth place of fashion has so much history and culture to explore and learn from it.
During my course at alliance there were a lot of workshops and seminars which made me familiar to the amazing and interesting French culture

               I would like to study in paris at your university because i am sure that Mod-Art would provide me with the expertise, personal interaction and intercultural experience necessary for me to achieve my professional as well as personal objectives.
