Dear Mr or Mrs,

I'm writing a letter to apply for a job as trainee in a laboratory in Great Britain. I gave my best to put the letter in the right form, also by using parts of earlier letters you corrected.
Would you have a look on it, please?
Thanks a lot, also for this internet page! It's very helpful!

Application for a job as trainee from 1st May 2005 to 31th July 2005

Dear Mr xxxx,

I am exciting to be applying for a job as trainee in your laboratory and joining your team. I have enclosed my C.V. for your consideration.

As part of my training, I am required to complete a practical course in a laboratory. I would great appreciate the opportunity to be a member of your working group. That would assist me in completing the practical part of my studies and more importantly would provide me with invaluable experience and contacts, both of which are highly valued.

During my studies I have acquired a strong knowledge of various branches of physics as well as mathematics and chemistry. Moreover, I have obtained basic practical experience as a scientist as well as a team worker during my training. In particular, my first training period in a laboratory, which I absolved last summer in an international company, gave me the chance to intensify these experiences. Above all, I am interested in duplicating and completing these work experiences.
After several semesters of studies in Germany and France, I am excited to become acquainted with the British way of life as well as to perfect my knowledge of the English language. This would contribute enormously to my international training.

I am motivated and curious person who can easily adapt to any situation. I thrive on overcoming challenges. I enjoy learning from others and helping others where I can. I am excited by the opportunity to join a group of professional where I can apply my skills, talents and enthusiasm.

Thank you for your kind consideration. I will contact you within two weeks.

Yours sincerely,
xxx
