Hey, I have a big problem.. :-/
I am applying for the Masters degree in Sweden. I ve already sent my application, but didn't include my Motivation Letter (somehow I didn't realize I had to do it). I just got an e mail, that I can still add it if I send it to them today. I am really worried, because I have never write such a thing before... I searched through your forum, and based on one of the posts i wrote something, but not sure if it is OK so if somebody could check it for me I would appreciate it greatly... My problem is the time :-( I am really sorry for the hassle, and thank you for any reply!!
My letter:
Dear Mrs
Name
I am excited to be applying for the course Software Engineering of Distributed
Systems and Nanotechnology in School Name.
I am graduating this year with Bachelor (Honours) degree in Software
Development from School Name2 and I really wish to continue gaining my
knowledge about Software. Over last four years, not only I was able to learn
about computing in general but discover fields I am mostly curious about. Software
Engineering of Distributed Systems and Nanotechnology are the ones which I cannot
wait to find out more about and I would greatly appreciate the opportunity for
letting me to be one of the people who have chance to do it in School Name. That
would provide me not only with the knowledge I seek so much, but also with
invaluable experience of being a part of institution with such a high standards
and with contacts, both of which are highly value.
During my four years of study I have acquired a strong knowledge
of computing and software in general. During my work placement I have obtained
practical experience as a software developer as well as a team worker.
I am motivated and curious person who can easily adopt to any
situation (I have already lived in Poland,
USA and Ireland). I thrive on overcoming
challenges. My group partners know me to be a very effective and helpful team
player. I enjoy learning from others and helping others where I can, but also I
am able to work on my own. I am exited by the opportunity to join the
institution with such a high standards, where I could learn from knowledge of
others and perhaps apply my skills, talents, and enthusiasm doing research at
later stage.
Yours sincerely
My name
