Dear all,

I am currently appling for a PhD position and am required to write a motivation letter and a letter of application. Does anyone have any ideas on what the distinction is between the two of them? Any tips or anything? It'd be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi. I have taken this from another thread on this forum:

"An application letter is simply a letter offering yourself for the position, while a motivation letter gives more details about why you would be prefect for the job- more about selling yourself."
