I need help with my letter. it is very urgent .can someone please correct my letter of motivation. or even just give my some advise. thanks a lot
Letter of motivation
Dear Sir/Madam,
Here I am; an open minded enthusiastic and young Austrian woman.
I have studied at the Teacher Training College in … from 2001 to 2004 to teach English and Sports in Secondary schools. In the year 2003 I was studying for four months at the Institute of Education in London; first to improve my English skills in a natural way and to get an idea about different educational systems in Europe.
I have a strong academic background in methodology and psychology how to teach and act with children.
For me being a teacher is not only imparting knowledge but also to experiment with new teaching and learning methods, as well as dwelling on the childrens needs. I always work with children as individual learners, because I think that’s the right way to help them to learn and develop in the most effective way.
Presently, I am working full time as a teacher in a “polytechnic school” in ….. Before that I was working in a secondary school and it was a very positive experience. Working with children and to teach is always what I wanted to do in my life. For me it is important to give children the possibility to scrutinise and to criticise things and to awake their senses.
I describe myself as a social, positive and ambitious person. Furthermore, my personality shows a large sense of responsibility and consideration. I easily adapt to new situations and I regard it as a multi-faceted experience to get a new challenge.
During college I have been working for four months in …… as a waitress so I am quite familiar with this amazing place in …... I enjoy meeting new people and getting acquainted with other cultures.
I am also a very sportive person who likes being in nature. I am doing a lot of summer and winter sports, like skiing and I also have a seven year old experience of being a ski instructor for children and adults.
Before my present job I did some voluntary works in a children’s home in Bolivia which I really loved and enjoyed. I am deeply interested in getting in contact with different cultures and to scrutinise the social and political life in different countries.
I have always enjoyed working with children and teenagers. I am a very motivated person, who has no problems to carry out and realise new tasks so I hope you see me as the person to teach German to your two children, help them with homework and to do nice and interesting after school activities.
