Please check this motivation letter and tell me what you think, i am not so good writing motivation letters, so it might be written very unprofessional.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to apply for the Master’s Degree in International Economics and Business in the ... University.

First of all, I would like to give you some background information about me, I am from Bulgaria, but since a child I have been living around the world because of my dads work, this helped me to learn some foreign languages and adapt very easy in an international environment. I have been studying in few Latin American countries one of them is Mexico where I graduated from high school, I got in touch with some very different cultures from my own and I have learned a lot from them, since then I became more internationally oriented, I felt like meeting people from different cultures widened mi horizons.

Currently I am studying International Finance and Trade at the International University, University of Portsmouth programme in Sofia, Bulgaria. I will probably graduate in July 2007 with a Bachelor Degree of International Finance and Trade. Although I want to focus on the businesss and finance fields later, I want to gain necessary knowledge in all major fields of economics.

Beside in the university I also acquired knowledge in the field of Economics by working more than 2 years (while studying) as an Economist in a well known Bulgarian company, where I learned to be more organized and communicative, I also learned there to analyze and interpret data which helped me to gain more analytical skills, I also participated and helped in the development of a new software. I enjoyed a lot working in the field of economics and I became more familiar with economics and that is why I decided to follow my studies in the field of Economics and Business where I can also apply the knowledge of my bachelor studies and from the work experience I had.

As a future professional in the international field, I believe that knowing several languages is a very strong asset. Having lived and studied in Mexico, I know Spanish. And I have learned English in high school. I studied French in university and in the winter of 2006, I took a French language course in the French Embassy to further improve. Because I am from Bulgaria, I know Bulgarian. My strong knowledge of four languages will be a major benefit in my international career.

My goal is to work in an international field of work related to economics and business. Therefore I want to gain a deeper theoretical knowledge in management, finance and economics to evaluate business in an international context. I have been searching for a very long time the university where I can fit and widely expand my knowledge in the desired fields. I want to be in an international environment where teachers and students are from different parts of the world to share different views and experience, and of course a place with high level of education and the necessary tools to instruct me in the international business scene. I found ... University the perfect place for me to continue my studies; it is a great opportunity for me to achieve the goal I want, being an international university very strong on the economics and business fields I found it the perfect place for me to continue my study.

Thank you for considering my application. I would be very pleased to be granted admission.

Sincerely yours,

Alexander
