Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to apply for a postgraduate programme in  Law and  Relations in September 0000. I have graduated with diploma in professional undergraduate programme acquiring the qualification of Business Administration from *** Business School in February 2005. Complementing my formal, I have practical experience with a wide variety of companies.

My inspiration is my parents and friends. Social life is equally significant to me as the time spent studying. It means a lot to me to spend a quality time with my family and a possibility to gain new friends. With some of them I share a great passion for soccer, with others yoga or diving, travelling, attending various festivals and exhibitions, with some reading adventures of Harry Potter. I really do enjoy their company and will always find time for them.

The other aspiration is my studies and work.  My first serious work experience in 1999 originated curiosity in the area of international law and relations. It was during the time when I was working for State Institution - Competition Council as an expert of the second analytical division where I examined applications and investigates possible violations of the Competition Law like prohibited agreements, dominant positions, and mergers within field of products and services. I helped to supervise the competition environment that covered not only local but also international companies. I learned how to prepare draft opinions and decisions as well as to deal with ever-changing multiple tasks. In August of 1999 came a turning point and I decided to gain a deeper understanding of business environment and moved towards my further development – full time studies in business school where my major was focused on studying Business, Management and Economics; I also took several courses of law but it just seems insufficient amount for me. In 2001 I took an initiative and the business school offered me opportunity to study at the YYYYY School of Business, Denmark from August 2001 till June 2002 as a full-time non-degree student. I passed successfully nine courses; especially I was inspired by Intercultural communication in European Context course that gave me theoretical and practical understanding of international relations trough the perspective of culture; I would like to develop even more detailed knowledge towards this area in my postgraduate studies.

In the summer 2004 I spent pre diploma internship in “ZZZZ Bank’ I was a assisting to internal auditors on evaluation and preparation of reports on internal/external compliance with national and international regulations regarding unusual transactions that was a major part of my thesis. Being able to see the influence of international law concerning banking was a key experience to me. In February 2005 I graduated with weighted average grade of qualification of 8.303.

In my last job is marketing manager in private sector Construction Company where every day work is not directly affected by international law or relations, I have learned to create, analyse tenders, draft proposals within the field of construction. Nowadays, I am developing and supporting business contacts and managing administrative tasks. My work gives me opportunity to put my knowledge and theoretical tools into practise but now it is time to continue my education, I believe in life-long learning with combination of experience that ensures development.

During seven years I was challenged by surrounded environment and I become more confident person, the theoretical and practical experience is a real value to me. I have gained experience to carry out independent research, to work in team and to interact with people representing different cultures and backgrounds, to be flexible, to adapt and to take initiative but at the same time to be responsible for my actions.

I have learned from various sources that VVVV University is known for its high academic standards and the faculties reputation for excellent teaching, offered modules  as well extended social life. My background is a solid pathway to master’s degree. Job experience in state institution, banking sector and private sector affirmed how significant is the influence of international law and relations has on business. In combination with my studies I am determined to seek for wider knowledge to form my career. I would like to offer my experience and insight to international relations from East European perspective, exchange knowledge, fluency in Russian would allow to access wide information if necessary. Thus, I fell confident that the Master in  Law and  Relations is the right choice for me and I would appreciate to receive the opportunity to study at the University of VVVV.

Thank you very much for considering my request and I look forward to your positive response.

Yours faithfully,

Miss DeeDee
