Im not sure who to ask, or who reviews these postings, but i was hoping to recieve some comment on this letter that i have written. I have no experience with writting application / motivational letters. I would appreciate any feedback! thanks; Rory.
Dear Sir / Madam,
With this letter,
I would like to express my desire to join the International Business Management
programme at your institution, in order to gain exposure to the many facets of
business and to enhance my entrepreneurial interests.
After graduating
from high school in South Africa, I was encouraged to develop myself
practically, and involved myself in a personal business project, learning first
hand, about the basic steps of managing a company, and how to market a product.
I have also gained some experience in the field of design, where I found an
interest in branding and marketing. I am fascinated about international society
and culture. I have been living in London for more than a year - this a has
been a great opportunity to learn about interactivity between many
nationalities. My location has also allowed me to explore life in Europe
through visits to several countries as well as giving me the chance to visit
Germany on several occasions.
The aspect that attracts
me most to the business programme is that it is taught in an international
context. Not only would it enable me to learn about the tools being employed in
business, but through interaction with students of other nationalities, I would
be able learn about the cultural and social aspects of a multicultural
environment. In addition, I would be provided with an opportunity to improve my
German language skills, and of course, to learn more about your country.
I believe it is
valuable to have a well rounded education, and because the International
Business Management programme covers nearly all aspects of business it would
allow me freedom to explore a wide field of career options. In the future, I
would like to join the master programme after completing my bachelor degree.
With a broader knowledge I would like to apply myself in a world renowned
company, where I could gain insight into global marketing methods or to focus
on entrepreneurial techniques.
I am confident
that I meet the requirements, and posses the qualities to expand my education
successfully at (institution). I would be grateful if you could give my
application your most favourable consideration.
